Naruto follows the main character, Naruto Uzumaki, as he travels around the Land of the Shinobi and battles many enemies. Sasuke is one of those pals.
Despite Sasuke’s greater natural talent and more success in their battles, Naruto was ultimately shown to be the superior fighter. They clashed five times; twice, the outcome was unclear, and twice Sasuke emerged victorious; but in the decisive fifth encounter, Naruto prevailed.
Naruto Uzumaki is a fascinating protagonist since he was once a weak and incompetent ninja (shinobi) who had only learned the pointless Sexy Technique.
Rank | Character Name | Reason for Strength |
---|---|---|
1 | Naruto Uzumaki | The full power of Nine-Tailed Fox |
2 | Kakashi Hatake | Skilled ninja with Sharingan |
3 | Itachi Uchiha | Sharingan, powerful ninjutsu and genjutsu |
4 | Minato Namikaze | Incredible speed and Flying Thunder God Technique |
5 | Obito Uchiha | Sharingan and access to Ten-Tails power |
6 | Madara Uchiha | Sharingan and access to Ten-Tails power |
7 | Kaguya Ōtsutsuki | Ancient being with immense power and reality manipulation |
8 | Jiraiya | Powerful ninjutsu and Toad Sage Technique |
9 | Hiruzen Sarutobi | Sage Mode and Enma Sword |
10 | Hashirama Senju | Wood Release and control of Ten-Tails |
11 | Tobirama Senju | Water Release and Flying Thunder God Technique |
12 | Orochimaru | Powerful ninjutsu and Snake Sage Technique |

15 | Killer B | Taijutsu and control of Eight-Tails power |
However, as time passed, Naruto not only acquired more advanced techniques but also became the most powerful shinobi in history, as widely believed. When he was at the top of his game, he could take on and beat the series’ most formidable opponents.
Over the course of the anime, he will also begin to tap into his vast stores of very powerful chakra. And as for Naruto’s jinchriki transformations, he also improved his abilities with time, but he often only utilized half of Kurama (the Nine-Tailed Beast) to achieve his changes. On the other hand, Sasuke was always assumed to be more powerful than Naruto, despite no evidence supporting this.
Sasuke’s overall skill level was very high, and he was an exceptionally strong and brilliant shinobi who could master even the most difficult techniques. Sasuke, like Naruto, has a potent chakra, but unlike Naruto, Sasuke’s chakra is mostly comprised of negative energy, from which he derives his tremendous abilities. As Sasuke only has a single Rinnegan, he is clearly outclassed by Naruto in this respect.

Who Is Stronger, Naruto VS Sasuke?
There were five total battles between the two of them, two in Naruto and three in Naruto Shippuden, and each one went like this:
In episode 107 of Naruto, titled “The Battle Begins: Naruto vs. Sasuke,” Sasuke dares Naruto to a battle, and the latter agrees. After several hits on the roof, Naruto develops his Rasengan and Sasuke his Chidori.
Eventually, Kakashi steps in to stop the battle. Still, it seems that Naruto’s Rasengan was more effective than Sasuke’s Chidori, which enrages Sasuke since it gives the impression that Naruto is the stronger of the two.
Findings: Unclear
This episode, “A Cry on Deaf Ears” (Naruto, episode 128), is part of a multi-episode storyline that delves into Sasuke’s background and features a fight between two old foes. For the duration of the fight, Naruto relentlessly struck Sasuke, yet Sasuke showed no signs of injury.
He eventually concedes that he must murder Naruto to achieve his goal of becoming stronger after beating Naruto to the ground with his own hands.
Both parties continue to combat, increasingly ramping up their attacks. Sasuke could not stop Naruto, so he trained to level 2 of the Cursed Seal to beat him—at great personal cost.
Two Fates (Naruto Shippuden, episode 215) culminated in a small-scale brawl between the two, which was followed by a conversation and Sasuke’s departure. Of much as a battle it was, this was more of a test of who these people really were.
Meeting (Naruto Shippuden, episode 257) included flashbacks to Naruto’s youth and his ongoing rivalry with Sasuke throughout their time at the Academy, but it ended with no resolution. Naruto couldn’t have defeated Sasuke as a kid since he was too reckless and clumsy to do it.
Sasuke triumphs in “The Final Battle” (Naruto Shippuden, episode 476), ending the series and closing the historical conflict between Naruto and Sasuke.
The battle’s epic scope and significance were discussed in a previous article. Here, all that can be said is that, in the end, Sasuke conceded defeat in this decisive combat, thereby conceding that Naruto is the superior fighter.

13 Times Naruto Proved He Was Stronger Than Sasuke
The two have been rivals and even battled one another many times. Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke have been rivals their whole lives; nonetheless, there have been several occasions where Naruto Uzumaki has emerged victorious.
1. When He Went Berserk
Intrinsic Nine-Tails, actually, didn’t always consider Naruto Uzumaki a buddy. When Naruto used their strength, he and the people around him were severely injured. In rare cases, the Tailed Beast could possess his body and damage people nearby.
However, it did something else simultaneously: it gave Naruto enormous strength. Naruto was far more powerful than Orochimaru and could have given Sasuke a run for his money when he initially awakened all four tails.
Even if Sasuke managed to corner him, Naruto might still get more tails, allowing him to become even more powerful. Naruto was, without a doubt, originally stronger than Sasuke, but when he lost control, Sasuke became the stronger of the two.
2. When He Combined Kurama Chakra Mode And Sage Mode
In the story, Naruto was able to unlock one of his most powerful talents thanks to his friendship with Kurama during the Fourth Great Ninja War. This ability was called Kurama Chakra Mode.
It would have been tough for Sasuke to control five Tailed Beasts at the same time as he did, yet he overcame them very instantaneously.
3. When He Received Hashirama’s Prosthetic Arm
After the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto had significantly more strength and chakra than Sasuke did since Sasuke had lost the power of the Tailed Beasts while Naruto had gained the other half of Kurama. Sasuke had lost the power of the Tailed Beasts because of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
In addition to this, Hashirama’s cells were used to make a prosthetic arm for Naruto, which added to the already considerable increase in his chakra.
Sasuke, on the other hand, came to the conclusion that he would not accept the prosthetic limb because he had considered amputation of his arm in order to create a substitute for his transgressions against the village.
4. Naruto Vs. Haku
In the plot involving the Land of Waves, Naruto and Sasuke go head-to-head with Haku, and the outcome is a foregone conclusion: they were severely outmatched.
The shinobi was fully overpowered when Naruto released the full force of the Nine-Tails, which occurred after Sasuke’s attempt to protect Naruto from Haku’s attack by utilizing his own body was unsuccessful. At that time, Naruto was significantly more powerful than Sasuke, and he was even on par with Haku in terms of capability.
5. Naruto Vs. Gaara
Gaara was by far the most formidable of the great ninjas who assembled in Konoha during the Naruto story arc known as “Chunin Exams.” This event took place in the village of Konoha.
During the Chunin Exams, it was evident that Sasuke was keeping an eye on him, and this led to the two of them getting into a battle with each other.
Even though Sasuke gave a good performance against Gaara, he was finally vanquished by his rival. Naruto was the one who eventually confronted Gaara head-on and prevailed, and he did it with the help of his astute strategies and the might of the Nine-Tails chakra.
6. When He Learned The Rasengan
Jiraiya, Naruto’s Sensei, taught him how to utilize the Rasengan ability. At the same time, Sasuke requested that Kakashi instruct him on how to make use of the Chidori.
During their battle on the rooftop, it appeared like Naruto’s jutsu caused more damage than Sasuke’s, despite the fact that both of their jutsus are strong in their own unique ways. In point of fact, Sasuke’s dissatisfaction with this turn of events serves as the impetus for his ambition to achieve an even higher level of control in the latter chapters of the novel.
7. Naruto Vs. Pain
Mastering Sage Mode, protecting Konoha, and exacting revenge on Jiraiya were all goals that Naruto pursued while training with Fukasaku of Mount Myoboku.
After enduring arduous training, Naruto was able to master the Sage Mode technique. In the not-too-distant future, not long after that, he defeated Pain in a fight that took place at Konoha Academy.
8. Naruto Vs. Reanimated Kage
Although Naruto was late to the Fourth Great Ninja War group, he made his presence known almost immediately. With the assistance of his shadow clones, Naruto was able to cover the entire battlefield and engage in battle with the Kage, who had been resurrected.
He was successful in vanquishing Mu, who was also the Second Tsuchikage and the Third Raikage. Additionally, he was able to save everyone by stopping Madara’s assault on the Shinobi Alliance by using the Wood Release technique. The power that Sasuke possessed and the preparedness of his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan had both diminished.
9. Naruto Fought Longer In The War
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto had a pivotal role in reducing the number of civilians killed by the Akatsuki. Specifically, he was helpful in preventing civilian casualties. Sasuke joined the army as well, although he didn’t do so until a considerable amount of time later.
On the other hand, Naruto was involved in a conflict that lasted for several days and demanded a significantly greater expenditure of energy than Sasuke did. After all, he was on a level playing field with Sasuke and even occasionally prevailed over him.
10. He Shared Chakra With Everyone
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto was present to fight the Akatsuki and the Kage who had recently been resurrected, but he also assisted the other shinobi.
As a result of Kurama’s influence, Naruto was able to bestow enormous quantities of chakra onto other people, so increasing their capabilities. In spite of the fact that this had sapped him of some of his strength, he was still able to demonstrate that he was more powerful than Sasuke by putting up a performance that was on par with Sasuke’s.
11. Naruto Defeated Sasuke With Half His Power
The Valley of the End was the location of the final confrontation between Naruto and Sasuke, which took place toward the end of the Naruto series. Sasuke had the whole power of the Rinnegan and the Nine-Tailed Beasts under his control, whilst Naruto could only tap into half of Kurama’s might within him.
Naruto was unable to match Sasuke’s ability. Still, he was able to keep up with Sasuke and even beat him in the end, as evidenced by Sasuke’s own admission that he had lost to him in the past. Despite this, he was not as strong as Sasuke.
12. Naruto Fought Momoshiki Far From Full Power
Because Naruto and Sasuke expended a lot of energy trying to stop Momoshiki, they were not at their best performance level. Momoshiki was able to steal fifty percent of Naruto’s chakra, while Sasuke was forced to use the Rinnegan in order to transport eight people to Momoshiki’s dimension.
Even though Naruto had only recently recovered from an attack powerful enough to destroy an entire village, he was still able to perform just as well as Sasuke, if not better. Sasuke was the one who was the one who won the competition.
13. When Naruto Used Baryon Mode
Among all of Naruto’s modes of operation, the Baryon Mode was the most destructive and powerful of the two. A stronger force was unleashed and used against Isshiki Otsutsuki by utilizing the chakra that Naruto and Kurama provided as fuel for the operation.
Because of his strength, Naruto was able to defeat Isshiki effortlessly in combat. It was revealed by Sasuke that, in this state, Naruto was significantly more powerful than Isshiki. It should go without saying that Naruto was also significantly more powerful than Sasuke.
Characters That Are Stronger Than Sasuke
In the Naruto series written by Masashi Kishimoto, the character Sasuke Uchiha plays a significant role. Sasuke has a huge role in the Naruto series, one that is comparable to or possibly even larger than that of the series’ main protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki.
Sasuke will have reached every goal he set for himself by the time he is an adult, and he will have matured into the formidable shinobi he has always envisioned himself to be.
Naruto Uzumaki
Sasuke’s only buddy is Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure. Throughout the course of the series, Naruto and Sasuke have grown alongside one another, and it is implied that they are now on equal footing in terms of power and that they are adults.
It’s safe to say that in combat between the two, Naruto Uzumaki would prevail thanks to his superior chakra reserves. On the other hand, Sasuke is shown repeatedly to tire quickly owing to his excessive usage of the Rinnegan.
Momoshiki Otsutsuki
One of the most formidable foes to ever emerge in the Naruto series is Momoshiki Otsutsuki. He held his own in a combined effort against Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha.
Momoshiki is unquestionably more powerful than Sasuke alone, representing a threat that Sasuke cannot overcome without significantly increasing his strength. Sasuke has a wide variety of Jutsu at his disposal, but most of them are worthless against Momoshiki due to his ability to absorb ninjutsu.
Jigen
Isshiki Otsutsuki, a member of the Otsutsuki clan, accompanied Kaguya to Earth in the past and currently resides inside Jigen, the leader of Kara. Despite his physical constraints, Jigen proved to be a formidable opponent for Naruto and Sasuke.
He was strong enough to take on the two of them at once and came out on top without taking any damage. No matter how powerful he is, Sasuke can’t win against Jigen alone. Sasuke would have to put in more effort at training to achieve it.
Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is one of the few characters in Naruto who can equal or even outclass her. She created chakra, and her proficiency is so high that few can hope to challenge her. Both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha would need help from each other to defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Sasuke Uchiha can’t hold a candle to her in any way, shape, or form, including her charka reserves, physical strength, and skill. Sasuke would still have a hard time-fighting Kaguya as an adult, albeit the odds would be much more in his favor.
Hagoromo Otsutsuki
In the fictional universe of Naruto, Hagoromo Otsutsuki is revered as the Sage of Six Paths. Once upon a time, he was a renowned character who could easily defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki in battle.
When he finally overcame his mother, he became the Jinchriki of the Ten-tails and a true force to be reckoned with. Even at his peak, Sasuke Uchiha would have little chance against Hagoromo in a battle. A human’s capabilities are limited, and Hagoromo’s divine rank places him well beyond Sasuke Uchiha.
